Prediction # 1 -The Fairness Doctrine is a ruse, A Smokescreen for Change

Hearings to Cover Up Real Agenda

Prediction: Within 90 days of the Obama inauguration and with great fanfare, Pelosi, Reed and Waxman will announce their intention to hold Congressional hearings on The Fairness Doctrine. It will be clearly explained that this is to provide adequate protection of our first amendment rights and to expand those rights. They will defend our liberties our rights; they want to uphold the constitution. They are our gatekeepers.

Government Approved RadioThe body will state they may attempt to pressure the FCC to reinstate the Doctrine, or, Congress may preempt the FCC and codify the Fairness Doctrine. Congressional hearings will be scheduled, and will include prominent talk radio personalities and radio executives, who will be subpoenaed. It will be a Circus.

Unfortunately Waxman, who is usually ready for a Congressional Hearing BBQ at the drop of a hat, cannot start the hearings immediately, due to some scheduling conflicts. 

The Talk Radio industry will be in the fight of its life, and can only cover the big massive issues while this is going on. UKnow I Am Right.

This is a ruse, a smokescreen.  Concurrent with this, and also hidden behind a big national health plan in the works, will be dozens if not a hundred pieces of legislation that will support the likes of Acorn's affiliates, all liberal causes that on the surface may not be evident.  This will include some of the most offensive and blatantly partisan bills you could imagine. These will cost up to $400 billion and will be hidden in numerous small bills with innocuous titles that have nothing to do with the real intent.

This legislation will be hidden everywhere, in other bills, Czar expansion packages, attached to big legislation, sometime on its own. Mark-ups, re-rights, edition two, volume three, bailout, bail-bondsman everything except markdowns. 

This will be a massive shotgun approach, covered by a smokescreen. The train will be racing down the track, unfortunately no one will be around to derail it.

This is the Obama political outreach groundwork legislation that will set up his next four years. The intention is to have this smoke screened legislation passed and put to bed before the end of the Fairness Doctrine hearings, which Waxman will strategically prolong.

As we get closer to election day this prediction is coming true, Robert Reich has run interference, tested the waters before congress, the following day Obama (1-8-09) used the same words, this is all about expediting. 

On the other hand Republicans have held a preemptive press conference about the fairness doctrine.

This prediction is already coming true, it has been announced to expect massive spending bills after the inauguration. Look for this pork and the programs outlined in predictions 4 and 5 to be hidden in the referenced legislation.
