Prediction # 6 - OBAMA COMBATS DISASTERS
Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at 1:01PM Excuse me, but coming out of trances after the Obama inaguration is like having a headache, you would think I was exiting the Bourbon section of this site.
Let me tell you about this vision - If you have read Prediction #4 and #5 you will see my point.
In my vision Obama was on Air Force One. He was returning back from a European trip, a category 2 hurricane that was suppossed to turn back into the Atlantic decided to veer into North Carolina and Virginia. Walking through the press cabin section doing one of his famous and routine meet and cosy-on-up with the press walks, he saw a magazine that looked interesting and took it to his quarters.

Its strange how disasters can bring out some of your best creative thoughts - the adrenaline running through your veins.
I think it was Rahm Emanuel, Obama’s Chief of Staff that said something like disasters and bank failures create opportunities that should be exploited.
Back to the flight, Obama was eating eggs over well and toast. His mind was on the task at hand how to save Virginia. He had tried to save California from the forest fires last month, he failed. He was doing that absentminded thing we all do, thinking about something important, putting jelly on his toast and paging through that magazine he had picked up...getting those stray ideas that somehow randomly connect.
He looked down at his magazine and could not believe his eyes an advertisement for the Swiss National Insurance Company, his mind was a whir - his blackberry was a hopping.
Three weeks later he was in the Rose Garden of the White House. The press corps were murmuring the cameras were clicking as the President walked out and stood before the microphone.
"My friends, we must learn from our mistakes. As you know my administration has taken an oath of "No more Katrina's". Recently we have had hurricanes on our East Coast and wildfires on the West Coast. Times like these never cease. With the advent of our severe Climatic changes it appears we will have problems like these for as far as the eye can see.
I was on my way back from Europe last month and I had a vision. It was almost like a heavenly body was talking to me. I kept on thinking nothing is certain. After each of these disasters there is a common theme. Insurance rates skyrockets, many people cannot purchase insurance, people are priced out of the market and no longer can get insurance. That is unthinkable, even untenable in a society as great as ours.
To resolve this my administration has decided that a new era of insurance coverage is not only prudent but required. As such this afternoon we are taking a bill to congress that will enable your government to provide property insurance to each homeowner in America, at a cost that will save each homeowner some 40% of there current bill. This plan will include automatic flood insurance.
This legislation is critical to our nation, I am asking for quick approval from congress. I have asked that a bill be on my desk for signature within 30 days."
The vision faded as some 40% of the nations property insurance industry is eventually vested to the federal government. Score one for socialism.
