October 27, 1964 (from "The Speech") You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children's children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done. - Ronald Reagan
Thank God there was one man that could ride into town and save the day. Lord please send us another - UKnowIamRight
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands. One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Presidential Oath of Office
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
On Corruption and Tyranny "The time to guard against corruption and tyranny is before they shall have gotten hold of us. It is better to keep the wolf out of the fold, than to trust to drawing his teeth and talons after he shall have entered." --Thomas Jefferson: Notes on Virginia, 1782.
On Interpreting the Constitution
"Laws are made for men of ordinary understanding and should, therefore, be construed by the ordinary rules of common sense. Their meaning is not to be sought for in metaphysical subtleties which may make anything mean everything or nothing at pleasure." --Thomas Jefferson to William Johnson, 1823.
The 10th Admendment to the Constitution
"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
"The Minimum Essential Coverage Provision is neither within the letter nor the spirit of the Constitution," Hudson wrote in a 42-page decision. U.S. District Judge Henry Hudson, appointed to the bench by President George W. Bush in 2002, backed arguments by the state of Virginia that Congress exceeded its authority by requiring that individuals buy health insurance or face a fine.
Lets Read the decision - it is a well written document that views both sides of the issue and walks you through the logic and constitutional issues.
Note this opens a PDF file which I found as safe.
I was intrigued when ===== stated on the Mark Levin Show that the ruling by
A U.S. judge in Virginia Monday invalidated a key part of the landmark health care law that requires individuals to buy health insurance.
Consider this Round 1 - We must be diligent to turn this around.
I am concerned for our nation. I suggest you read it.
Here are some of the phrases that are interesting...
But after Obama was sworn in, things began to change? "Almost immediately. Obama loved to campaign. He clearly didn’t like the work of being President..."
What about Hillary Clinton?
Obama is scared to death of Hillary. He doesn’t trust her
So if Obama doesn’t appear interested in the job of president, what does he do day after day? Well, he takes his meetings just like any other president would, though even then, he seems to lack a certain focus and on a few occasions, actually leaves with the directive that be given a summary of the meeting at a later date. I hear he plays a lot of golf, and watches a lot of television – ESPN mainly."
......yelling at a member of his staff. He was yelling like a spoiled child. And then he pouted for several moments after...... The President of the United States threw a temper tantrum.....
...... he is getting increasingly conspiratorial over the unemployment numbers.... . Obama thinks the banking system is out to get him now..... and big industry are making him pay for trying to regulate them more."
In reading this I see a man with a severe emotional and possibly mental condition. He is showing signs of Depression, he could be Bi-Polar add possible ADHDD. Oh its not a stage to remove him from office, hell we elected him this way. But it may be time for some medication. At least bring James Coburn in.
You have heard it before...they have a Government job. They have it made. Do you have it made?
I lived in Milwaukee - a county and a City on the brink of bankruptcy due to Government employee benefits. Imagine you hire a county commissioner, they come up with a benefit package (which includes them of course) that really doesn't fully take effect for some 5-10 years, sounds like the new Health Care bill right? But that's another story.
Back to this story ---- the County Administrator (Manager) retires with incredible benefits, his employees also. The County/Villiage/City/Township Board/Council/Government approved it is long gone, possibly they became government employees after their term. The community is holding the bag. Sounds familiar?
Add a bit of SEIU or Teacher Union pressure. You know the.
What do you do when you retire at 49? Where do you go? What do you do with nearly $4 million in forward benefits as this example in New Jersey.
As Christie also when you become a Teacher in New Jersey you get FREE (top notch platinum) Health Care for FREE ---- for the rest of your life.
THIS HAS TO STOP AND THE FIRST STEP IS THE ELECTIONS OF NOVEMBER 2010 --- Vote Conservative --- Vote Fiscal Responsibility --- Vote for a future not a failure.
Review this site (see column left) for ideas how you can pitch in.
Last year (one year ago tomorrow) I wrote about oil ---- after listening to Karl Rove and Tom Brokow it is obvious that Brokow just does not get it. He is anything but unbiased.
Listen to his comments and then read our commentary following......
How the Bush family needed that Iraq oil. OK where is my oil?
We spent eight years combating a War on Terrorism, oops sorry, you probably know it as the Overseas Contingency Operation. We were looking for that Iraq oil. OK where is my oil?
We apprehended Saddam Hussein. The citizens of a free and democratic Iraq, held him in humane conditions, conducted a fair trial, sentenced and carried the penalty of death by hanging. Saddam Hussein, a viscous fascist (socialistic) power hungry egomaniac dictator. A man that murdered hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women and children. OK where is my oil?
I thought the whole "Overseas Contingency Operation" was about the United States taking over and getting the Iraq oil. OK where is my oil?
I thought he was kidding when a couple of years ago Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld called suggestions that the US is really after Iraq's oil "utter nonsense." "We don't take our forces and go around the world and try to take other people's real estate or other people's resources, their oil. That's just not what the United States does," he said. "We never have, and we never will. That's not how democracies behave."
Yes Germany, Japan, Russia, Italy, France, the Philippines, Netherlands, Greece, Korea and a hundred other countries around the world. To each we either, helped set you free, helped you rebuild or brought you democracy. You know what we stole from you. I am NOT going to tell you right now. OK but where is my oil?
Obama will bring me oil.
Recently President Obama became concerned that Iraq could be hurt by declining oil revenues for the oil-rich state, as world recession could bite into Iraq's main hope for recovering from the war we brought to them and advancing towards their previous prosperity. Obama sees higher oil prices as a solution to this problem.
Possibly I am parsing words a bit to much, again maybe I am not. DNC Chairman Tim Kaine states that the GOP has won more than "their share" of elections.... my question is about "your share" and what is fair?
