Ronald Reagan - Slayer of Communism

October 27, 1964 (from "The Speech")

You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children's children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done. - Ronald Reagan

Mark Levin Speaks

Mark Levin re: Obama experience.... "He's never even ran an ice-cream stand."

Pledge of Allegiance

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands. One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Presidential Oath of Office

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Jefferson's Corner

On Corruption and Tyranny
"The time to guard against corruption and tyranny is before they shall have gotten hold of us.  It is better to keep the wolf out of the fold, than to trust to drawing his teeth and talons after he
shall have entered." --Thomas Jefferson: Notes on Virginia, 1782.

On Interpreting the Constitution

"Laws are made for men of ordinary understanding and should, therefore, be construed by the ordinary rules of common sense. Their meaning is not to be sought for in metaphysical subtleties which may make anything mean everything or nothing at pleasure." --Thomas Jefferson to William Johnson, 1823.

The 10th Admendment to the Constitution

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Where is my Oil? 364 days later Continued - Brokow Does Not Understand

Last year (one year ago tomorrow) I wrote about oil ---- after listening to Karl Rove and Tom Brokow it is obvious that Brokow just does not get it. He is anything but unbiased.

Listen to his comments and then read our commentary following......

and now the original.... WHERE IS MY OIL?

How the Bush family needed that Iraq oil. OK where is my oil?

We spent eight years combating a War on Terrorism, oops sorry, you probably know it as the Overseas Contingency Operation. We were looking for that Iraq oil. OK where is my oil?

We apprehended Saddam Hussein. The citizens of a free and democratic Iraq, held him in humane conditions, conducted a fair trial, sentenced and carried the penalty of death by hanging. Saddam Hussein, a viscous fascist (socialistic) power hungry egomaniac dictator. A man that murdered hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women and children. OK where is my oil?

I thought the whole "Overseas Contingency Operation" was about the United States taking over and getting the Iraq oil. OK where is my oil?

I thought he was kidding when a couple of years ago Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld called suggestions that the US is really after Iraq's oil "utter nonsense." "We don't take our forces and go around the world and try to take other people's real estate or other people's resources, their oil. That's just not what the United States does," he said. "We never have, and we never will. That's not how democracies behave."

Yes Germany, Japan, Russia, Italy, France, the Philippines, Netherlands, Greece, Korea and a hundred other countries around the world. To each we either, helped set you free, helped you rebuild or brought you democracy. You know what we stole from you. I am NOT going to tell you right now. OK but where is my oil?

Obama will bring me oil.

Recently President Obama became concerned that Iraq could be hurt by declining oil revenues for the oil-rich state, as world recession could bite into Iraq's main hope for recovering from the war we brought to them and advancing towards their previous prosperity. Obama sees higher oil prices as a solution to this problem.

Finally - someone cares about my oil.
