Ronald Reagan - Slayer of Communism

October 27, 1964 (from "The Speech")

You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children's children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done. - Ronald Reagan

Thank God there was one man that could ride into town and save the day. Lord please send us another - UKnowIamRight

To-do #2 - COMMUNICATIONS - Rein In McCain And Other Turncoats

OUR REPRESENTATIVES NEED OUR DIRECTION     THEY NEED TO STAND FOR OUR PRINCIPLES   TO VOTE FOR A COMPROMISE OFTEN MEANS YOU HAVE NO PRINCIPALS.

This is a TAKING BACK AMERICA Project - Obama would probably give you college credit.

Task: To Contact High Probability Swing Votes.

Equipment: Your Computer, Link to Contact Data

Annual Participation Value: 1-2 hours.

Details At End Of This Document

McCain A Current Example:

Yes he is the maverick, he likes to cross the aisle, he considers himself a facilitator. At best I would label him as a liberal Republican. Democrats may consider him the 60th vote.

Do you think the next congress will be important? Of course you do.

Do you agree that conservative votes are in short supply? Of course you do. He does not.

Discusses With Colleagues

Concerns:  Liberals are within one or two votes on the Democrate side to have anything they want. Therotically it may be impossible for the Republicans to win anything.

We need to REIN IN McCAIN and other fence sitters, like Senator Mel Martinez (FL)

Mr. Maverick likes to think he is his own man. He is not beholden to anyone. Therefore he has no problem with crossing the aisle. But I have a novel theory. Deep inside his head, instilled by his distinguished military career, he may still remember that his sole responsibility is to represent the citizen. You and me and those people in Arizona, GO Cardinals!

McCain Expects Everyones Blind and Unrelenting BackingWe must make a special effort with these, how do I say it diplomatically? Turncoats. Those elected officials that have forsaken conservative values.

When a bill is pending that threatens your principals it only takes a few minutes to say no, if you are prepared.

Yes you can send E-mails, letters, Faxes and and telephone calls. I am talking full press.

I guarantee the opposition is prepared to charge in any time a close vote is pending. We need you.

YOU ARE NEEDED to DEFEND American and Conservative value. Votes embody our democracy, they need to go your way.

Details and Process (Like you can't figure this out)

Identify - Here is a link to the National Journal's 2007 Senate Liberal Scores. If you wonder how your local Senator votes here is a good place to start.

Select Your Targets - Local is best - Someone on the fence wherever they are is a must,  it's your choice. It only takes a few seconds to do several. Regardless off affiliation or liberal rating it is best to do all your state senators.

Contact Information -  This is your IMPORTANT LINK to contact any State or US elected officials.

Prepare - You will be doing this anyway - make you selections - put them in your computer, rolodex or PIM.

Now you are ready!

COPY PASTE OR MERGE TIME -

When the legislation is pending you do not like - communicate. Presuming you are e-mailing use a clear Title - Like Senate Bill #000 - Raising Taxes - Vote No VOTE NO

Quick Body - Example Senate Bill #000 is going to kill my business - hurt the economy - Please vote NO.

Note: I personally am not a caned "Use these words" type of person. If I were a Senator I would blow off the 20th +++ exactly the same text message. If you do find suggested language, please at least shuffle the paragraphs around and change the title.

Say Thank you -  I have always respected you...

Your contact info....

You will find that many Senators have forms that will slow you down a bit.

This is rudimentary stuff - but we all need reminders and quick links sometime.

Thank you for helping to Take America Back.
