4th of July Parade - Squeeze the Flesh
Friday, June 5, 2009 at 12:26PM Breaking Down Barriers - Meeting Elvis
Some of my best memories are driving in a Model T Ford with my two boys ages 5 and 6 wearing straw hats and vests. Do you want to have a good time with your family? Have fun - SAVE America - be in a parade.
Buttons: (L) Bomb Hanoi and (R) God Bless America - Support Our BoysI have noticed us Republicans and Conservatives are not all that great in being in parades. We tend to be more ceribrial, intelligent and analytical in our thinking. We sort of say..."They should be able to figure this all out, it is obvious, hell I did." You are correct in saying that about you, unfortunately there are 60 million votes out there (Just a few million more than we produced) that did not get the message. Many of them were in parades.
During the 2008 elections I attended a 4th of July Parade and a Labor Day parade. In both parades Democrats were supporting Obama, Republicans were just absent. Yes every vote counts.
But there are no elections this year! That is the point. I call this a breaking down barriers year. Sort of buttering up your parents or saying nice things to that young lady..."Why miss those are nice shoes." "Dad I took out the trash for you." We want the opposition to consider welcoming us in. Think of it as chance to raise in your allowance, or a a date with the cute red-head, or for you ladies cute life-guard.
You know what is most important this year? Not a candidate, not a big theme. It is to break down those barriers. This includes you. Yes most Republicans just don't get involved.
I will be blunt, if we cannot communicate in a non confrontational non-election year, how do you think we will hold up in 2010?
A Bunch Of Reasons To Be In A Parade And A Few Things To Do
- It is cheap -
- You move sort of fast - no real confrontation.
- You break down barriers. Minorities, neighbors and special interests see that you really exist and that you do not breath fire.
- You can dress up funny.
- Your children will have a great time.
- You can throw candy (if not prohibited by liberals) at the children of liberals...hey a side tork is always fun.
- You can walk your dog. As an aside people love pets, they have a dog, you have a dog and neither of you bite.
- You can wear a "non-threatening" Message. "More Oil For America" "God Bless America" "Happy 4th of July" "Support Our Troops".... Your smart you know what I mean. Walking down the street in a "Obama is a Socialist" T-Shirt will not buy you new friends, leave those for when you are preaching to the choir at a Tea-Party.
This is a critical year. We are advertising that we are alive, we are advertising that we care. We need to open up the doors. We only get a rehersal one time.
If you want to be in a parade you need to get it organized NOW. Remember you do not have to be elaborate, you just have to be there.
For a quick idea on how disorganized you can be, viewo some photos from Governer Chris Gregoire (D) 2008 campaign.
I did a quick check and found a place where you can buy mini-flags for as low as $0.19 ea. If you and your friends pitch in $100 you can give away 500 flags.
.....And after the parade you can take your child for a hot dog and find Elvis somewhere in the crowd.
Here at UKnow I Am Right we want your help in Taking Back America. We want you to volunteer 5-10-20 hours a year. This site will give you some help, give you some ideas, be your support group is necessary (not our strong point), please review, please forward this site information to your to your friends, family and associates. Call your local GOP office, but get involved.Thank you, you and your family are worth it.
